Announcement on the concession of hydrocarbon geological exploration works in the Republic of Moldova, with their subsequent exploitation
1. The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Berlin informs about the intention of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Moldova to give in concession hydrocarbon geological exploration works, with their subsequent exploitation in the country.
2. The object of the concession are geological exploration works, including prospecting and evaluation of useful mineral resources deposits of national importance, to detect hydrocarbon (gas, oil) accumulations in the southern part of the Republic of Moldova, bordered to the north by the Ungheni-Basarabeasca line (the corner points thereof are determined in the standard bidding documentation), with their subsequent exploitation.
3. Concession Term – 5 years for exploration works, with subsequent exploitation of hydrocarbon accumulations over a 40-year period, with the possibility of a one-time 5-year extension of this term upon the request of the concessionaire, but without exceeding a cumulative 50-year concession period.
4. The concessionaire will be selected through a public tender. The tender procedures are described in the standard bidding documentation. The standard bidding documentation can be purchased at the address indicated below, for a non-reimbursable fee of MDL 2,000 (two thousand Moldovan Lei).
